I am extremely happy with the direction the new and improved Gabriel bear is going!

His new face is officially complete along with his new outfit, all that’s left is to attach the face plate, create his little accessories like juice box and badges and then I’ll be on to the dreaded hair.

While i do love making yarn wigs for myself and dolls, bears are tricky, i think the plan will have to be shaving the fur on his head to make the gluing process a little easier, perhaps adding more stuffing to the head too, i think the less squishy he is the easier it will be. The first two attempts adding yarn hair to a build-a-bear were rather disastrous, a very visible gluey mess. I’m determined to improve.

In other news, my Halloween project is complete! Im thrilled with the final pieces and look forward to posting the results, i think I’ll wait to post here though until the end of October when all the Instagram posts have been made, so i can put them all together in one blog post.

I know for a fact Instagram will not like this project, but that’s okay.
