We shall start with squirrels.

The creative venture of the week is my birthday gift to my granddad, last year i made him an autumnal themed squirrel, this year i went for spring, so you know what that means: two more squirrels in the bank for future gift giving needs.

As for the plans, i have some decisions to make in regards to my future, i have successfully quit my job with nothing else lined up, this was scary but essential. I would at some point like to be content with my lot.

For now i thought id do a little review of my progress in my creative endeavours.

I think I’ve actually made some decent progress on my original list of jobs, I’ve begun the rework of Howard’s costume, I’ve done quite a few of the basic cosplays that i had on my list, i finished my Sanrio franken-bear, plus a few more curiosity bears along the way, I’ve almost finished the big painting, begun refining my dolls.

I haven’t done much in my sketchbooks or scrapbooks and the Cerberus look is still on hold.

I have a tendency to be very mean to myself, but i do think I’ve done some cool things this year, I’m not perfect but i think i can give myself that.

Going into a new year i really would like to me more consistently creative. I want to be excited to just draw something, paint one of my silly little characters, making something just for sake of making it. (I’m also considering actually committing my characters stories to paper, maybe some little zines, but im not the best writer so we’ll see how that goes)
