I’m one step closer to my dreams of looking like the octopus super fan that i truly am! Thanks to handy dandy fabric paint and oodles of patience i am no the proud owner of not only a pair of octopus shoes, but also, an octopus jacket!

I’m so happy with how these turned out, i chose to outline the octopus in a dark red to make the piece more illustrative rather than realistic, i think if id added all the lil suckers it would have looked a bit odd, its already a very busy jacket after all. I may go back in and add a few bubbles to cover some tiny splatters from the painting process, but i haven’t decided yet.

As for the shoes, I’m happy with them, unfortunately i painted the eyes on a bit too thick and its already started to crack, but hey ho, i probably wont be wearing them with too many outfits, so that’s okay.

Another up-cycling project that I’ve started, a denim waistcoat made from a pair of red jeans that unfortunately showed no signs of ever fitting me. I’m thrilled with the progress I’ve made, i managed to use the majority of the denim from the jeans and it actually fits the way i wanted it to. I plan on adding leather straps and buckles as the fastenings and to decorate I’m thinking of delisting flowers onto it at some point, but id like to start with getting the buckles on.

Last but not least, i made this cutesy collage portrait of myself at the art group i attend, I’m a fan of her, i think i encompassed my general vibe; filled with dread yet mildly threatening with a girly pop facade!
